Rosella and Amitina open a beauty parlor together. Rosella falls in love with a blue-collar worker at the Ferrari Auto Company, who happens to be married and is a hardline communist. Amitina falls for a colleague of his, a militant in a rival left-wing party. That is the scenario for a hilarious comedy full of passion and punches, sex and political clashes, which paints a social portrait of Italy today.
