"Pasion de Gavilanes"

After crossing the border and leaving their native country where they had very little luck, the Reyes brothers settled in a small, but agitated city where they managed to set up a bakery that will help support the family. Juan, the eldest, is the one in charge of the business and is the head of the family. He is a strong, hardworking and responsible man, but he is too strict and somewhat primitive. Oscar is the one who follows, he is ambitious and calculating, and he is always looking for money in the least expected days. The third brother is Franco, with a much weaker personality for he has a bohemian soul and is terribly romantic.
Libia Reyes is the youngest of the siblings. She is only seventeen and the joy and worry of her brothers who exaggerate their jealousy for her. The problems will start when the inexperienced young girl falls in love with an older man, Bernardo Elizondo. Ignoring that he is married she lives a secret and passionate romance with him. Things get complicated when Libia tells her brothers that she is pregnant. Her brothers ask Bernardo to marry Libia, not knowing that he is married and has a family. Regardless, Bernardo accepts, but a few days later death surprises him in a sudden accident. When she learns of Bernardo's death and discovers that he is married, Libia puts an end to her life, throwing herself from a bridge. The reyes brothers bury her and swear to avenge her death.
Several days later, they go to the Elizondo hacienda where they are mistaken for some workers who are supposed to build a cottage in the back part of the house. They take advantage of the situation and come up with a plan to take-revenge. Their plan is to seduce the Elizondo sisters the same way Bernardo seduced their sister Libia.
Meanwhile they get to meet all the members of the Elizondo family. Gabriela, Bernardo's wife, an arrogant and intolerant woman who is prejudicial and who is used to imposing her orders regardless of her daughters' desires. Norma, the eldest daughter, is as beautiful as she is unhappy, because she was the victim of a rape and her mother obligated her to marry a man that she doesn't love.
Her other sisters are Jimena and Sarita, both manipulated by Gabriela, who keeps them constantly repressed and supervised. Martin Acevedo, Gabriela's father, is the only one who appears to be freed from her unbearable dictatorship. He is an old army man who is confined to a wheelchair, however, he goes from one corner to the other, yelling, screaming and finding out everybody's secret. He is amusing and insolent, tender and understanding, a character who is never intimidated at the moment of expressing what he thinks.
Another family member is Fernando Escandon, Sofia's husband. Elegant and cultivated, he married her for money because his family is ruined. Last but not least, Eva, the family's housekeeper. She plays an important role because she has been keeping a secret for Gabriela and it pushes her to form an alliance with the Reyes brothers to carry out their revenge. The profound hatred starts to change when the Reyes brothers get Уaught in their own trap, and the hacienda turns into a battlefield, where love, hate and passion will play important roles.
