This is how a story of people with opposed interests, confused emotions and feelings and different social circles starts when they are brought together by destiny, a destiny that will test them for as long as they live.
MARIA would gladly give her life for her three beloved daughters. She suffers because Leonardo, her husband, walked out on her to go after the American dream. In spite of those men interested in her, the day-to-day problems at her small diner and the mortgage on her tiny flat in the crowded building, do not leave her time to think in love. Hector's life contrasts with hers, he is the powerful owner of INMEX, the Cervantes Empire. He might be the man of the moment but he suffers in silence the loss of his wife Graciela and their little daughter.
The communication with his sons is problematic because both have completely different personalities as well as objectives.
In his loneliness, Hector looks for the affection of Romina, a smart executive, who is concerned with reproducing the image of his dead wife.
ELISA studied a major in architecture and struggles to get a job that lets her help Maria pay for the family's bills. She simply adores her sisters Gina and Emiliana, with who she shares the limitations resulting from living in such a crowded building. SERGIO, the taxi driver who loves her, is a womanizer by nature. He believes he can change for Elisa's love. However, she dreams with finding true love. ALEJANDRO, Hector's eldest son, sees Elisa with love eyes as he tries to stay away from the aggressive passion Romina represents.
