Marina is the story of a sweet and brave young girl who makes a living driving a tourist boat in beautiful Acapulco.
Her world suddenly collapses when her mother dies unexpectedly and Marina is forced to move into an elegant mansion owned by the Alarcon Morales, a wealthy family who is not at all prepared to welcome the humble girl with open arms.
At her new home, Marina will come face to face with evil and despise, but she will also find shelter under the kind protection of powerful multi-millionaire Don Guillermo, who happens to be her uncle. Unbeknownst to her, she also shares the family fortune and is just as entitled to the luxurious lifestyle. It's at this mansion that Marina will also find love in Ricardo Alarcon; a handsome young man who has dedicated himself to spending the family fortune, and who lives a turbulent marriage with his temperamental wife, Adriana.
Ricardo himself is struck by Marina's unpretentious personality, and they soon end up madly in love; however most of the people surrounding them, will do everything in their power to separate them.
Marina will be the target of everyone's envy and mockery, but her wild and unique ways will allow her to defend herself, and confront her enemies while stealing the heart of many.
