A beautiful valley serves as the setting for the intense and stormy love affair between Valeria San Roman and Francisco Contreras.Valeria is a beautiful woman whose strong-hearted nature has helped her overcome heartache in romance, a frustrating motherhood, the absent love of a father, and extreme loneliness. She runs the family owned winery with her father, Chema, who has made her the object of his discontent. In fact, the day before Valeria's wedding, she finds out that Chema had paid the groom to marry her as part of a business deal.
Francisco is a successful publicist who became a widower a few years back and now lives in the city with his only son. One fine day he visits his father's ranch and finds out that his father had married a much younger woman who, not only has lead the business to ruin but also driven his father to suicide. Due to these circumstances, Francisco decides to stay in the Valley and rescue the family business from bankruptcy.
These strange turn of events lead him to meet Valeria and form a business partnership that works in both their best interests. At first their strong personalities clash, but the more they get to know each other, a passionate love arises that knows no boundaries and for which they will fight until the very end. Among those who try to tear them apart are Chema (her father), Marcia (Francisco's father's widow who will become Chema's lover), Paula (Francisco's ex-girlfriend), and Miguel (Valeria's money hungry ex-boyfriend).
