BLOODLINES

Bloodlines is a drama that can be understood by Europeans, Americans and all people swept up by the ferment of a rapidly changing world. Communism devastated the cultural life of Slovakia as it did of Russia and Ukraine.
The post-communism capitalism has been even harder on these cultures.
At the core of the story is a young American, Martin, who crosses the ocean and traverses civilizations in search of his root - only to find those roots threatened. The film shows the present day life of Slovaks from the point of view of this American who judges and suffers, lives through the magic of discovery and the uncertainty of love, endures cruel lessons and nurses desperate hopes.
